Medical information

Obtaining complete information in a simple way and in understandable language through the treating physician, once your disease is diagnosed, regarding the proposed treatment regimen, any changes that may occur in your health condition and the reason for those changes, alternative treatments, the probability of success or failure of treatment, the advantages and risks of treatment (if any), expected problems during treatment and the expected results if treatment is neglected.

You have the right to have an interpreter (if available) if language is a barrier to understanding the details of the comprehensive medical care provided to you.

General approval

You have the right to give general consent for hospital treatment in writing by you or your family as soon as you enter the hospital.

Facilities

According to hospital policies and procedures and depending on your health condition, you are entitled to have a family member, guardian or care partner as a companion (if necessary). However, due to some medical reasons, certain units will not allow this, such as the intensive care unit;

Transfer to another treatment center

In the event that you need to be transferred to another treatment center, you have the right to obtain a comprehensive explanation of the reasons and all obligations resulting from that (financially and administratively, if any), and to determine the alternative options for you.
