Our history
1994
The Beginning of a Vision
The vision for Al Moosa Specialist Hospital first began in 1994 in Boston, USA, and went on to become the first private hospital in Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia.
1996
Hospital opening
The hospital opened as the first private hospital dedicated to serving the people of Al Ahsa.
1998
Strategic Partnership
The hospital entered into a strategic partnership with Saudi Aramco, a global leader in energy and chemicals.
2000
Capacity Expansion
By 2000, the hospital’s capacity had expanded to 100 beds, supported by the latest medical technologies.
2009
First International Accreditation
Al Moosa Hospital earned Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation—an affirmation of its commitment to the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
2012
Renewed Global Recognition
Receiving JCI accreditation for a second time reaffirmed our enduring commitment to excellence in healthcare quality.
2013
Official National Accreditation
Al Moosa Health earned accreditation from the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI).
2014
A New Identity and a New Chapter of Growth
A new identity was unveiled, HACCP certification was achieved, and the South Tower was opened to expand inpatient capacity.
2016
Preparing for Future Growth
Excavation began for the North Tower.
2017
Excellence in Medical Laboratories
The hospital laboratory earned accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

For the second time, Al Mousa Specialist Hospital has received accreditation from the United International Commission.
