Leukemia is one of the most vicious types of cancer. The bone marrow is the source of leukemia, which is responsible for producing blood cells from red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The duration of which leukemia can be treated varies from one patient to another and depends on the type and stage of leukemia, the general health of the patient, and the extent of complications resulting from leukemia. However, the treatment period can run for two to three years.
