Al Mousa Specialist Hospital achieves first place among private hospitals in the category of more than 300 beds for the national project to measure and improve the culture of patient safety in hospitals.
We are pleased to have obtained first place for the national project to measure and improve patient safety culture for private hospitals in the Kingdom in the category of more than 300 beds.
The project, which is launched by the Saudi Patient Safety Center, aims to prepare comparisons and statistical reports of the percentages and data that participating hospitals rely on voluntarily within the national database in order to collect and analyze the hospitals’ questionnaire outputs, which is implemented through a questionnaire tool affiliated with the American Foundation for Quality and Research in Healthcare, which is applied in more than 93 countries around the world and is characterized by accuracy and high reliability in analyzing the culture of patient safety.
About the Saudi Patient Safety Center:
The Saudi Center for Patient Safety was established in 2017, and it is the first of its kind in the entire region and fulfills one of the initiatives of the National Transformation Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program. The center also works to raise the level of awareness and knowledge in the field of patient safety and enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences with local and international organizations and institutions.
The Saudi Patient Safety Center forms a unified national database to collect and analyze the results of the questionnaire for the hospitals participating in the project. It is worth noting that this database will constitute an important reference for knowing and understanding the culture of patient safety prevailing among health practitioners in health facilities in the Kingdom and thus studying it and making the necessary improvements in it to be consistent with international standards.
