In cooperation with the Department of General Surgery, ASH Academic Affairs Dept. organized a workshop on Basic Surgical Skills at Almoosa College for Health Sciences. Where seven consultants, trained specialists, and residents led the workshop
The attendees praised the preparations
and educational tools provided during the workshop within a simulation training environment.
The workshop kicked off with the theoretical part explaining the concepts and basics of surgical procedures, followed by a hands-on training on:
- various skills, including sterilizing practices
how to use the suturing
instruments in wound management
Dr. Hanan Abdel-Karim, a general surgeon consultant, stated that the workshop targeted the interns to train them on the basic surgical skills.
