The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Al Mousa Hospital provides integrated services to meet patients' needs at any time.
Treatment plans ensure that the family is involved in decision-making and is always informed, to set goals, and strengthen capacities, from inviting family members to care plan meetings, to providing support to parents.
The unit contains 20 beds to care for seriously ill patients. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit also offers the latest interventions, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, open-heart surgeries for children, cardiac catheterization of all types, in addition to treating trauma, including brain injuries, and managing drowning cases.
Our pediatric critical care team in collaboration with all departments at Al Mousa Specialist Hospital is ready around the clock to:
- Coordinating the transfer of patients from other hospitals to the pediatric intensive care unit
- Providing comprehensive intensive care for hospitalized patients
- Communicating with patients and their families
- Communicate with the patient's primary care physician
