Bnoon Fertility and IVF Center Services
IVF and ICSI are advanced fertility treatments designed to help couples experiencing infertility. In IVF, eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized with sperm in the laboratory. In ICSI, the best single sperm is injected directly into each mature egg to support fertilization, particularly in cases of male-factor infertility.
Who may benefit from IVF or ICSI?
- Ovulation problems
- Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes
- Male-factor infertility or abnormal semen analysis
- Endometriosis.
- Unexplained infertility
- Previous unsuccessful fertility treatments
- Inherited diseases and genetic disorders
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a fertility treatment used to support couples experiencing infertility or subfertility. It involves placing prepared sperm directly by a fine catheter through the cervix and into the uterus to increase the chances of fertilization.
Who may benefit from IUI?
- Mild male-factor infertility, including low sperm count
- Ovulation problems
- Unexplained infertility
- Certain sexual dysfunction issues
Ovulation induction is a fertility treatment that uses medication to stimulate the wife’s ovaries to develop and release an egg, helping to increase the chance of pregnancy through timed intercourse.
Who may benefit from ovulation induction?
This treatment is usually recommended for women with ovulatory disorders who have healthy fallopian tubes and a husband with normal semen parameters
Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) is a specialized procedure performed during ICSI/IVF to assess embryos before transfer. It helps identify certain genetic or chromosomal abnormalities and supports the selection of embryos for transfer based on the type of genetic testing recommended.
Who may benefit from PGT?
- Couples with a known inherited genetic condition or a carrier (i.e. thalassemia, sickle cell disease and certain types of anemia, etc.)
- Patients with a history of recurrent miscarriage
- Women of advanced maternal age
- Repeated IVF failure
- Cases where there is a higher risk of chromosomal abnormalities, especially if there is a history of a chromosomal condition in a previous child
Types of PGT
PGT-A screens embryos for chromosomal abnormalities, such as extra or missing chromosomes, which may affect implantation or increase the risk of miscarriage. .
PGT-M: PGT-M is used when one or both partners carry a known inherited genetic condition. It tests embryos for a specific genetic disorder to help reduce the risk of passing it on to the child.
Gender selection is a medical option available as part of IVF treatment, where embryos are tested prior to transfer to determine their chromosomal sex. This is achieved through preimplantation genetic testing (PGT).
How does gender selection work?
Gender selection is performed during an IVF cycle. After embryos are created in the laboratory, a small number of cells are biopsied and analyzed using PGT. This testing identifies the chromosomal makeup of each embryo, including sex chromosomes (XX or XY) and trisomy’s 13,18 and 21. Based on the results, embryos of the desired gender—if available and suitable—may be selected for transfer
Fertility preservation includes a range of options designed to help preserve the possibility of future pregnancy by freezing eggs, sperm, or embryos for later use in addition to ovarian tissue cryopreservation. These services may be recommended for medical reasons, prior to certain treatment like chemotherapy or radiotherapy, or as part of an IVF journey.
Who may benefit from fertility preservation?
- Patients undergoing medical treatments that may affect fertility, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy or other gonadotoxic treatments
- Couples undergoing IVF or ICSI who wish to preserve surplus embryos for future use, or in cases where frozen embryo transfer is medically recommended in a subsequent cycle.
- Women undergoing IVF who need to freeze eggs, where clinically and legally applicable
For women
- Fertility checkups help assess reproductive health in both women and men and support early diagnosis and treatment planning.
- AMH
- FSH
- LH (ovarian reserve)
- prolactin
- TSH
- and other reproductive hormones
- Ultrasound assessment of the ovaries and uterus
- Ovulation assessment, when needed
- Pelvic ultrasound examination
- Fallopian tube evaluation, if clinically indicated
For men
- Semen analysis to assess sperm count, motility, and morphology
- Hormonal testing, if required
- Clinical evaluation based on medical history and fertility concerns
Office hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine the inside of the uterus, which may be needed prior to undergoing an IVF cycle. It allows direct visualization of the uterine cavity using a thin, lighted instrument (hysteroscope), without the need for general anesthesia in most cases.
Who may benefit from PESA or TESA?
- Abnormal uterine bleeding
- Suspected uterine abnormalities (such as polyps, fibroids, or adhesions)
- Recurrent miscarriage
- Repeated IVF failure
- Evaluation prior to fertility treatment
- Cervical stenosis
- Diagnosis of congenital uterine abnormalities
Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat conditions affecting fertility and the female reproductive system. It allows for accurate evaluation and treatment, with faster recovery and minimal disruption.
Who may benefit from PESA or TESA?
- Endometriosis.
- Uterine fibroids or polyps
- Adhesions (scar tissue)
- Tubal disease or blockage
- Abnormal uterine findings
- Recurrent miscarriage or repeated IVF failure
Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is a specialized imaging test used to evaluate the uterus and fallopian tubes. It helps identify whether the fallopian tubes are open and assesses the shape of the uterine cavity and any intrauterine masses
Who may benefit from HSG?
- Women experiencing difficulty conceiving
- Suspected blocked or damaged fallopian tubes
- Evaluation of uterine abnormalities
- Part of a routine fertility workup
Assisted hatching is an advanced laboratory technique used during IVF to help the embryo implant more easily into the uterine lining. It involves creating a small opening in the outer shell of the embryo (zona pellucida) before transfer.
Who may benefit from assisted hatching?
- Women of advanced maternal age
- Previous IVF failure
- Embryos with a thicker zona pellucida
- Use of frozen-thawed embryos
Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (PESA) and Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA) are minimally invasive sperm retrieval procedures used when sperm is absent from the ejaculate. To support optimal outcomes, we work in close collaboration with the Urology and Andrology teams at Almoosa Specialist Hospital as part of a coordinated approach to assisted reproductive treatment.
Who may benefit from PESA or TESA?
- Azoospermia (absence of sperm in semen)
- Obstructive conditions preventing sperm release
- Previous unsuccessful sperm retrieval
- Cases where sperm quality or availability is limited
How do PESA and TESA work?
- PESA involves retrieving sperm from the epididymis using a fine needle
- TESA involves retrieving sperm directly from the testicular tissue.
Both procedures are typically performed under local anesthesia and are relatively quick and considered as minimal invasive procedures
