Consultant Pediatric Infectious Diseases & Chief Executive Officer, Almoosa Specialist Hospital

 

Dr. Zainab is a Board Certified pediatric infectious disease consultant and the Chief Executive Officer of Almoosa Specialist Hospital. Dr. Zainab played a key role in expanding the hospital’s academic activities and transitioning it into a teaching hospital with over 20 residency and fellowship programs. Previously, she served as the Director of the infection control department at Almoosa Specialist Hospital.

 

Prior to her current role, Dr. Zainab worked as a pediatric infectious disease’s consultant and deputy program director of the pediatric residency at King Abdul-Aziz Hospital of the National Guard. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from King Faisal University in Dammam and completed her residency and board training at King Abdul-Aziz Hospital. Dr. Zainab further specialized in pediatric infectious diseases through a fellowship in Riyadh, and later earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. Additionally, she is a certified infection control practitioner.

 

Dr. Zainab serves as the head of the Mortality and Morbidity committee and the Product Value Analysis committee at Almoosa Specialist Hospital. She is deeply passionate about child protection and initiated the first child protection program in the private sector. Dr. Zainab is a member of the scientific committee of the Saudi CDC (Weqaya) and has a special interest in child welfare.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Zainab enjoys motorcycle riding and engages in daily exercise routines. She is a proud mother of three – two girls and a boy – and was born a twin.
