POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME: TREATMENT AND SYMPTOMS

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition in which fluid-filled sacs of varying sizes grow on the surface of one or both ovaries. It negatively affects the ovaries’ efficiency in producing eggs and releasing them into the fallopian tubes. Statistics in the USA indicate that PCOS affects one out of every ten women of childbearing age. Symptoms of polycystic ovary include irregular menstruation, hormonal imbalance, ovarian failure, anxiety, binge eating, and general fatigue. Regular check-ups with a gynecologist help control PCOS in the early stages and treat the symptoms as soon as possible to avoid problems with fertility.
